Evaluating the impact on the local hydrophobicity of the incorporation of monofluoroalkene in the backbone of short peptides

What an impact! How local hydrophobicity is affected by incorporating a monofluoroalkene units into the backbones of short peptides was evaluated by reversed‐phase HPLC. Comparison with the parent peptides was made, and the dependence of the peptidomimetic analogues’ behaviour on the pH and the solvent was studied. The presence of a monofluoroalkene enhanced a peptide's hydrophobicity.
