    Polycondensate, composition containing it, especially a nail varnish composition, and process for preparation. The polycondensate may be obtained by reacting: a polyol comprising 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups; a saturated or unsaturated non-aromatic monocarboxylic acid; an aromatic monocarboxylic acid containing 7 to 11 carbon atoms; and a saturated or unsaturated, or even aromatic, linear, branched and/or cyclic polycarboxylic acid, comprising at least two carboxylic groups COOH; and/or a cyclic anhydride of such a polycarboxylic acid.

    Composite consisting of a thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer or a vul­canized or non-vulcanized rubber containing yarns, cords and/or fabrics provided with a polyester-ester urethane as adhesive and which polyester-­ester urethane contains 30 to 80% by weight of blocks of ester units of a high-melting polyester and 70 to 20% by weight of blocks of ester units of a low-melting polyester which are linked together through ester groups and/or urethane groups. The melting-point of the polyester-ester urethane is at least 160°C and the melting-point of the low-melting polyester is not higher than 100°C.
