    Synthesis and thermal decomposition of zinc phthalate
    摘要:
    Zinc phthalate was synthesized by the rheological phase reaction method, and the crystal structure was determined. Its thermal decomposition in argon was investigated. The thermal decomposition products were characterized by IR, XRD and GC-MS methods. Benzophenone, anthraquinone and nanoscale zinc oxide were chiefly obtained when zinc phthalate was pyrolyzed at 400-450 degrees C in argon atmosphere. The free radical reaction mechanism of zinc phthalate in the thermal decomposition process was proposed. Fresh nanoscale ZnO plays a role as catalyst for the forming of benzophenone and anthraquinone. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

    A process for the preparation of aromatic carboxylic acids or their salts comprises heating carboxyl-free aromatic compounds and aromatic carboxylic acid salts whose basic structures differ from those of the aromatic compounds, or heating polycyclic aromatic compounds with three or more rings and monocyclic or bicyclic aromatic carboxylic acid salts, under carbon dioxide pressure in the presence of one or more metal compounds selected from group (a) of compounds of zinc, cadmium, and thallium and one or more compounds selected from group (b) of compounds of cesium, Group II metals, and Group III a metals to effect the intermolecular transfer of the carboxyl groups.

    A high-expanded crosslinked foam having excellent flexibility, toughness, heat resistance and compressibility, a smooth surface and uniform cells, and a polyolefin resin composition to be used therefore are provided. A polyolefin-based crosslinked foam has the following characteristics (a) to (c) and is obtained by the crosslinked foaming of a foaming polyolefin resin composition comprising a polyolefin resin composition and a foaming agent: (a) Gel fraction is from 10% to 90%; (b) Degree of swelling is 30 or less; and (c) When glass transition point determined from the temperature dependence of dynamic viscoelasticity is represented by the peak of tan δ determined by the measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity at a frequency of 10 Hz, there is observed no peak or one peak, if any, and the ratio α of storage modulus at 0°C (E' 0) to storage modulus at 100°C (E' 100) (α = logE' 0/E' 100) is from 10 to 30.

    A novel olefin polymerization catalyst is provided which comprises (A) a transition metal compound or lanthanoid compound containing two or more atoms selected from the group consisting of boron, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, sulfur, and selenium; and (B) a Lewis acid. A process for producing an olefin polymer is alsoprovided. The catalyst has a high olefin polymerization activity without a combined use of an expensive organoaluminum oxy-compound or organoboron compound, and can maintain the high activity for a long polymerization time.

    A silane-crosslinking expandable polyolefin resin composition that is flowable before foaming and composition, does not cause degassing even when foaming is carried out immediately after heat molding without the conventional crosslinking operation, and gives a crosslinked foam having superior heat resistance (heat deformation properties) after the foaming. The silane-crosslinking expandable polyolefin resin composition includes 100 parts by weight of a mixture of 5-90% by weight of a silane-grafted polyethylene resin obtained by melt mixing 100 parts by weight of LLDPE having a molecular weight distribution of 5 or less and a density of 0.87-0.945 g/cm3, 0.1-5 parts by weight of a vinyl-functional silane compound and 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a free radical generator, and 95-10% by weight of a polyolefin resin; and 2-20 parts by weight of a specified organic blowing gas.

    The present invention relates to a silver anti-tarnish agent having, as an effective component, a zinc salt and/or a zinc complex, preferably at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a carboxylic acid zinc salt having a carbon atom number of 3 to 20, a phosphoric acid zinc salt, a phosphate ester zinc salt and a carbonyl compound zinc complex; a silver anti-tarnish method for preventing tarnish of a silver part by applying said silver anti-tarnish agent to the silver part. According to the present invention, tarnish of a silver part such as a silver-plated part due to a sulfur-based gas can be prevented. The present invention is useful particularly as a silver anti-tarnish agent for a light-emitting diode and allows preventing tarnish of a silver part of a light-emitting diode and reduction in illuminance by applying the silver anti-tarnish agent of the present invention to a silver part such as a silver-plated part of a light-emitting diode for covering the silver part.
