    An organometallic complex that has high emission efficiency and high heat resistance and emits blue light is provided as a novel substance. In a light-emitting element including a light-emitting layer between a pair of electrodes, the light-emitting layer includes an organometallic complex, and the organometallic complex includes a central metal and two types of ligands coordinated to the central metal. One of the two types of ligands includes a triazole skeleton including nitrogen bonded to the central metal, and the other includes a nitrogen-containing five-membered heterocyclic skeleton including carbene carbon bonded to the central metal and nitrogen bonded to carbene carbon.

    As a novel substance having a novel skeleton, provided is a novel phosphorescent organometallic iridium complex that can emit phosphorescence in a blue green to red wavelength region and has high emission efficiency. The phosphorescent organometallic iridium complex has a ligand having a pyridyl pyrimidine skeleton, i.e., the phosphorescent organometallic iridium complex has a ligand having a structure represented by the following general formula (G0). Note that in the formula, R1 and R4 to R6 separately represent hydrogen or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and R2 and R3 separately represent any of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a phenyl group that may have a substituent, and a pyridyl group that may have a substituent.

    A novel compound represented by formula (G1) is provided. In formula (G1), A represents a substituted or unsubstituted condensed aromatic ring having 10 to 30 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted condensed heteroaromatic ring having 10 to 30 carbon atoms, and Z 1 to Z 3 each independently have a structure represented by formula (Z-1) or (Z-2). In formula (Z-1), X 1 and X 2 each independently represent any one of an alkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having a bridge structure and having 7 to 10 carbon atoms, and a trialkylsilyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms. In addition, Ar 1 to Ar 4 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 13 carbon atoms, and at least one of Ar 1 to Ar 4 has the same substituent as X 1 or X 2 .

    To provide a light-emitting element with high emission efficiency and low driving voltage. The light-emitting element includes a guest material and a host material. A HOMO level of the guest material is higher than a HOMO level of the host material. An energy difference between the LUMO level and a HOMO level of the guest material is larger than an energy difference between the LUMO level and a HOMO level of the host material. The guest material has a function of converting triplet excitation energy into light emission. An energy difference between the LUMO level of the host material and the HOMO level of the guest material is larger than or equal to energy of light emission of the guest material.
