A synthetic shortcut: A highly efficient cascade reaction (see scheme) led to polycyclic indoles with excellent enantioselectivity. The combination of the two steps through sequentialcatalysis enables the use of more readily available starting materials and makes the synthesis more practical. Boc=tert‐butoxycarbonyl.
