  A dramatic enhancement of the diastereo- and enantioselectivity in the nitro-Michael addition reaction organocatalysed by a commercially available alpha,alpha-L-diaryl prolinol was disclosed when performing the reaction in unconventional hexafluorobenzene as a medium.
