A Novelsynthesis of chiral epoxides and allylic alcohols was realized from (−)-chloromethyl p-tolyl sulfoxide and carbonyl compounds through the α,β-epoxy sulfoxides. The procedure and a stereochemistry of the asymmetric induction of the reaction are reported.
