The reaction of cobalt benzoylacetonate with formaldehyde in water or methanol gave benzoic acid along with 4-hydroxy-3,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)-2-butanone or 4-methoxy-3,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)-2-butanone, respectively. The result suggests the formation of acetic acid in the reaction of metal acetylacetonate.
钴苯乙酰乙酸盐与甲醛在水或甲醇中的反应生成了苯甲酸,以及分别为4-羟基-3,3-双(羟甲基)-2-丁酮或4-甲氧基-3,3-双(羟甲基)-2-丁酮。结果表明金属乙酰乙酸盐的反应中会形成乙酸。
