    The present invention provides a process for producing a hydrazone compound represented by the general formula (5): which comprises a step of condensing a hydrazine compound represented by the general formula (3): with a carbonyl compound represented by the general formula (4): without taking the hydrazine compound out of a reactor According to the invention, the target hydrazone compound can be obtained in high quality and in a high yield without taking the hydrazine compound out of the reactor at all, the hydrazine compound being a reaction intermediate which is structurally unstable and has a fear of influencing safety of workers owing to its toxicity (mutagenicity).

    A polycarbonate polymer includes: a monomer unit represented by a formula (1A) below; and a monomer unit represented by a formula (2). A haze of a solution that is obtained by dissolving the polycarbonate polymer in THF (tetrahydrofuran) at a concentration of 10 mass % is 5% or less (according to JIS K7105, optical path length of 10 mm). In the formula (1A), R and R′ each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; n1 is an integer in a range of 2 to 4; and n2 is an integer in a range of 25 to 220; and in the formula (2), Ar represents a divalent aromatic group.

The µ-oxo-aluminum phthalocyanine dimer may be applied to as a charge generator for an organic photoconductive material, such as a high-gamma photoreceptor which is corresponding to a short-wavelength light source(LED). The µ-oxo-aluminum phthalocyanine dimer polymorph shows diffraction peaks at a Bragg angle (2θ ± 0.2°) of 6.9°, 9.7°, 13.8°, 15.4°, 23.9°, and 25.9° in a X-ray diffraction spectrum by CuK α-ray.
