  The highly enantioselective organocatalytic construction of spiroindanes containing an all‐carbon quaternary stereocenter by intramolecular Friedel–Crafts‐type 1,4‐addition is described. The reaction was catalyzed by a cinchonidine‐based primary amine and accelerated by water and p‐bromophenol.
