Multistep asymmetric synthesis of a hydrindane framework was achieved via palladium-catalyzed asymmetric pi-allylic alkylation, propargylation, and cycloisomerization of 1,6-enynes, where all three steps were performed in water with recyclable polymeric catalysts.
