Stable L-proline-functionalized zirconium methyl- and/or phenylphosphonates have been prepared as amorphous solids by the precipitation of (4R)-4-[(4′-phosphonobenzyl)oxy]-L-proline and methyl- and/or phenylphosphonic acid with ZrOCl2.
