Design, synthesis and anxiolytic-like activity of 1-arylpyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazine-3-carboxamides

A series of 1-arylpyrrolo[1,2-a] pyrazine-3-carboxamides were designed and synthesized as 18 kDa translocator protein (TSPO) ligands. Anxiolytic-like activity of compounds was evaluated in the open field test and elevated plus maze test. Compounds 1a and 1b demonstrated high anxiolytic-like effect in the dose range of 0.1-1.0 mg/kg comparable with that of diazepam. The involvement of TSPO receptor in the mechanism of anxiolytic-like activity of new compounds was proved by antagonism of the most active compound 1a with TSPO selective inhibitor PK11195. In vitro binding studies demonstrated high TSPO affinities for compounds 1a and 1b. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Embodiments for a high temperature fracturing fluid comprise an aqueous fluid, carboxyl-containing synthetic polymer, metal oxide nanoparticles having a particle size of 0.1 to 500 nanometers, and a metal crosslinker which crosslinks the carboxyl-containing synthetic polymers to form a crosslinked gel, wherein the metal oxide nanoparticles are dispersed within the crosslinked gel.

Methods of preparing a crosslinked hydraulic fracturing fluid include combining a hydraulic fracturing fluid comprising a polyacrylamide polymer with a plurality of coated proppants. The plurality of coated proppants include a proppant particle and a resin proppant coating on the proppant particle. The resin proppant coating includes resin and a zirconium oxide crosslinker. The resin includes at least one of phenol, furan, epoxy, urethane, phenol-formaldehyde, polyester, vinyl ester, and urea aldehyde. Methods further include allowing the zirconium oxide crosslinker within the resin proppant coating to crosslink the polyacrylamide polymer within the hydraulic fracturing fluid at a pH of at least 10, thereby forming the crosslinked hydraulic fracturing fluid.
