  Twenty-seven novel cephalosporin derivatives with activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are described. The compounds contain novel acid moieties at C-7 that were synthesized using nucleophilic aromatic substitution reactions and Stille couplings.
