    The present invention provides novel anthracene derivatives. In particular, the present invention provides light-emitting elements with high luminous efficiency, and light-emitting elements with long lifetime. Further, the present invention provides light-emitting devices and electronic devices having long lifetime by using these light-emitting elements. An anthracene derivative represented by the general formula (1) is provided. In addition, since the anthracene derivative represented by the general formula (1) has high luminous efficiency, a light-emitting element using the anthracene derivative represented by the general formula (1) can also have high luminous efficiency. By using the anthracene derivative represented by the general formula (1), light-emitting elements with long lifetime can be provided.

    An oxadiazole derivative represented by the following general formula (G1) is synthesized and applied to the light emitting element, wherein A m is a substituent represented by a general formula (Am1), (Am2), or (Am3); each of α, β 1 , and β 2 represents an arylene group having 6 to 25 carbon atoms; each of A r 1 to A r 6 represents an aryl group having 6 to 25 carbon atoms; each of R 1 to R 3 represents hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an aryl group having 6 to 25 carbon atoms; and R 4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 25 carbon atoms.

    It is an object to provide a noble anthracene derivative, a light emitting element with a high luminous efficiency, and further a light emitting element with a long lifetime. It is another object to provide a light emitting device and electronic device with a long lifetime by using the light emitting element. An anthracene derivative represented by General Formula (1) is provided. Since the anthracene derivative represented by General Formula (1) has a high luminous efficiency, when the anthracene derivative is used for a light emitting element, the light emitting element can have a high luminous efficiency. Further, when the anthracene derivative represented by General Formula (1) is used for a light emitting element, the light emitting element can have a long lifetime.

    A novel stilbene derivative is provided with motivation of providing a blue emissive material showing excellent color purity. The use of the stilbene derivative of the present invention allows the fabrication of a blue-emissive light-emitting element with excellent color purity. The invention also includes an electronic device equipped with a display portion in which the stilbene derivative is employed. The stilbene derivative of the present invention is represented by formula (1), in which Ar 1 and Ar 2 may form a 5-membered ring by being directly bonded to each other. In formula (1), A 11 represents any one of substituents represented by general formulas (1-1) to (1-3). The variables shown in formula (1) and (1-1) to (1-3) are as defined in the specification.
