  An excellent fragrance compound having high palatability. A 3-(3-hexenyl)-2-cyclopentenone represented by a general formula (1) 1 (wherein wavy line represents a double bond cis-form and/or trans-form) is used as an active ingredient of scent and mixed in a small amount with fragrance compositions, cis-jasmone and/or various materials to be scented.
