Trichloroisocyanuric acid is used as an effective oxidizing agent for the oxidation of 1,3,5-trisubstitutedpyrazolines to their corresponding pyrazoles under both heterogeneous and also solvent free conditions with good yields at room temperature.

An efficient aromatization of 1,3,5-trisubstituted2-pyrazolines to their corresponding pyrazoles has been performed by tricholoroisocyanuricacid [TCCA] under microwave irradiation in excellent yields. It has been observed that the reactions occur more rapidly under microwave irradiation conditions, and the amount of the reagent TCCA consumed is considerably reduced to afford better yields when compared
