Glycosyl fluorides can be synthesized from thio-, seleno-, and telluroglycosides and glycosyl sulfoxides using the aminodifluorosulfinium tetrafluoroborate reagents Xtalfluor-E and -M, with or without added N-bromosuccinimide.
