A series of thiazole-4-carboxylic acid thiazol-2-ylamide (TCAT, 4) derivatives were designed and synthesized according to simple bioisosteric replacement from previously reported pyridine-2-carboxylic acid thiazol-2-ylamide (PCAT) MetAP inhibitors.
