    摘要:
    An olefin polymerization process is carried out in the presence of a catalyst system comprising a pre-polymerization catalyst, a boron-based catalyst activator, an alkylaluminoxane co-catalyst, and a hindered phenol compound. The pre-polymerization catalyst is a titanium complex and has an indenoindolyl ligand bridged to a phenoxy ligand via a silyl group. The catalyst system is effective at polymerizing ethylene with alpha-olefins in a solution phase polymerization process at high temperatures and produces ethylene copolymers with high molecular weight and high degrees of alpha-olefin incorporation.

    Provided are a novel transition metal compound based on a cyclopenta[a]naphthalene group, a transition metal catalyst composition having high catalytic activity for preparing an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and at least one α-olefin including the same, a method for preparing an ethylene homopolymer or a copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin using the same, and the ethylene homopolymer or the copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin prepared above. The metallocene compound according to the present invention and the catalyst composition including the same may provide a high thermal stability of the catalyst to maintain high catalytic activity even at a high temperature, have good copolymerization reactivity with other olefins, and prepare a high molecular weight polymer at a high yield.

    A transition metal complex represented by the formula (1): wherein M is a Group 4 transition metal, A is a Group 16 element, B is a Group 14 element, n is an integer of 0 or 1, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 may be the same or different and each independently denotes a substituent selected from the group consisting of the groups (I) and (II): group (I): hydrogen, alkyl and so on group (II): alkoxy, alkylthio and so on, provided that at least one of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 is a substituent selected from group (II); R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 R 9 , R 10 , X 1 and X 2 may be the same or different and are each hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or the like; and a catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising said complex, an organoaluminum compound and a boron compound are provided.
