  By modifying a method formerly described, 1, 1,2-trimethyl-2- carbethoxy-cyclohexan-3-one, 1,1,2-trimethyl-2-carbethoxycyclohexan-3-ol, and 1, 1, 2-trimethyl-2-carbethoxy-cyclohex-3-ene have been prepared. Starting from this latter compound and passing through the corresponding alcohol and aldehyde, 1,1,2-trimethyl-2-(21-buten-- 23-on)-yl-cyclohex-3-ene has been obtained.
