  beschriebenen, aus Isophoroncarbonsäure-äthylester (I) zugänglichen Säure C10H14O2 nicht die Dehydro-α-cyclogeraniumsäure (VII), sondern ein Gemisch von VII und der isomeren Dehydro-γ-cyclogeraniumsäure (IV) vorliegt. Durch fraktionierte Destillation des Gemisches der entsprechenden Methylester liess sich der Dehydro-γ-cyclogeraniumsäure-methylester (V) in reiner Form gewinnen.
