Herein, we describe the construction of indole-fused seven-membered N- and O-heterocycles from indolyl α-diazocarbonyls via photoredox-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization. The photoredox process features operational simplicity, mild conditions, and as low as 0.1 mol % catalyst loading.
