The present invention is directed to a pressure sensitive adhesive obtainable by reacting a) a polycondensate obtainable from a1) a furan derivative and a2) a dimer of a fatty alcohol, a dimer of a fatty acid and/or ester thereof, a dimer of a fatty amine, and/or a dimer of a fatty isocyanate; wherein the polycondensate has a Tg between -50°C and 0°C; and b) a cross-linking agent having at least 2 functional groups per molecule. The invention is also directed to a method for preparing the adhesive and to the use of the adhesive for laminating a sheet or film.
