  Epoxidation and hydroboration reactions of syn-7 substituted norbomenes have been used as probes for effective steric bulk of several substituents including the Me3Sn group. Steric hindrance in these reactions decreases in the following order: t-Bu > Me > Br > Me3Sn > Cl > H.
