The reaction of substituted allyltrimethyltin compounds with methyl-lithium in tetrahydrofuran gave substituted allyllithium reagents. Reactions of the latter with trimethylchlorosilane, iodomethane (or benzyl bromide) and carbonyl compounds were examined.
