Efficient Desulfonylation of Alkenyl Sulfones Enabled by Cu‐Catalysis

efficient and easily operable desulfonylation method of various alkenyl sulfones is reported. In the presence of a Cu catalyst, diboron, KOt-Bu, and water facilitated a protoboration-desulfonylation of alkenyl sulfones in a single batch with high efficiency. This method operated under air and in the presence of water, providing a sustainable catalytic desulfonylation method.
