  new polyketide 1-(2,6-dihydroxyphenyl)9-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)nonan-1-one and five other polyketides 1-(2,6-dihydroxyphenyl)tetradecan-1-one and malabaricones A-D have been isolated from Myristica dactyloides seeds. 13C NMR of the first and the second mentioned compounds are also reported for the first time.
