Acetalation of mono- and disaccharides with a functionalized vinylic ether or a diethoxybutanoate afforded mono- and diacetals bearing an ester group.   用作生物燃料或生物燃料添加剂的源自生物质的醚的合成备受关注。在最近报道了H-β沸石在乙醇中由γ-戊内酯（GVL）合成醚化的4-乙基乙氧基戊酸酯（EEP）酯后，通过乙基的还原醚化开发了另一种高收率制备EEP的方法。在140°C和0.5 MPa H 2的乙醇中使用二氧化硅改性的Pd / C催化剂制备乙酰丙酸酯（EL）。醚的生产可能遵循串联缩醛化-氢解过程，其中以4,4-二乙氧基戊酸乙酯（EDEP）为中间产物。通过引入酸性材料（例如SiO 2-碳或β沸石）作为助催化剂，可以促进缩醛化步骤。Pd / SiO 2的组合‐C和β沸石混合物在优化的反应条件下可实现100％的EL转化率和93％的EEP选择性。首次使用静态氧弹测量了制备的EEP的标准摩尔燃烧焓，其值被确定为约-5658 kJ mol -1，远大于GVL（ -2650 kJ mol -1）。
