A heat-developable color photographic material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support having thereon a layer containing at least a light-sensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt oxidizing agent, a hydrophilic binder, a reducing agent for the silver halide and/or the organic silver salt oxidizing agent and a dye releasing compound which is capable of bonding to an oxidized product of the reducing agent and releasing a hydrophilic dye. The heat-developable color photographic material can easily provide a clear and stable color image by imagewise exposure to light and a heat development procedure. A method of forming a color image using the heat-developable color photographic material is also disclosed.
A heat developable color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least a photosensitive silver halide a binder, a dye-releasing material which is reductive to the photosensitive silver halide and releases a hydrophilic dye upon reaction with the photosensitive silver halide by heating, and a base precursor represented by following formula (I)
wherein R represents an alkyl group, an alkylene group, an aryl group, an arylene group, a monovalent or divalent heterocyclic group, each of which may be unsubstituted or substituted, B represents a monoacidic or diacidic base having a pKa of not lower than about 9 and containing 12 carbon atoms or less; x is an integer of 1 when R represents a mono- vatent group or an integer of 2 when R represents a divalent group, y is the same as x when B represents a monoacidic base or an integer of 1 when B represents a diacidic base; and z is an integer of 2 when R represents a monovalent group and B represents a diacidic base or otherwise an integer of 1.

A heat-developable color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least a light-sensitive silver halide, a hydrophilic binder and a dye releasing redox compound represented by the following general formula (I):
wherein G represents -OR' or -NHR2; R' represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrolyzable group; R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 50 carbon atoms; Z represents an image forming dye group; A represents an atomic group necessary for forming an aromatic ring; Ball represents an organic immobilizing group on the aromatic ring, and when two Ball groups exist, they may be the same or different from each other; m represents an integer of 1 or 2; X represents a divalent organic group containing from 1 to 8 atoms and X with a nucleophilic group (Nu) is capable of forming a 5- to 12-membered ring together with an electrophilic center (the carbon atom marked with *) which is formed by oxidation; Nu represents a nucleophilic group; and n represents an integer of 1 or 2.
The heat-developable color photographic material can easily provide a dear and stable color image by imagewise exposure to light and a heat-development procedure. A method of forming a color image using the heatrdevelopable color photographic material is also disclosed.
Heat developable color-image forming material has a layer containing (a) light-sensitive silver halide grains (b) a redox compound having a hydrophilic releasable dye moiety and a reducing group which, on heating, reduces imagewise exposed silver halide, mobile dye being then released, and (c) a compound which, on heating, releases a base, of a general formula:
the A groups being H or specified aliphatic or cyclic groups and X being a nucleophilic group.
Compound (C) preferably is 0.01-30 % by weight of the coating(s); 50 compounds are shown, with synthesis examples. Other basic substances or precursors can be present.
Development is by dry heating at 80°-250°C. to form a silver image and dye image which is transferred to unitary or separate fixing layer.
The material has good storage life and gives dye images of high density.
A color light-sensitive material is described, comprising a support and at least one light-sensitive silver salt layer on the support, wherein the layer contains a dye-providing compound represented by the general formula (I):
wherein all the symbols are as defined in the appended claims. This dye-providing compound provides a color image which is sharp and further is superior in light fastness.
