A colorant is disclosed, which comprises (A) a cationic surfactant and/or an amine oxide surfactant, (B) a nonionic amphiphilic compound, and (C) an acid dye. The colorant is excellent in the stability and dyeing power, shows high conditioning effect and gives an excellent touch during and after its use.

A composition capable of forming porous films which are excellent in dielectric characteristics, close adhesion, uniformity of application, and mechanical strengths and are reduced in moisture absorption; porous films; a process for the production of the films; and semiconductor devices which have the films built-in and exhibit high performance and high reliability. The composition comprises a surfactant and a solution containing a polymer obtained by condensation of at least one alkoxysilane represented by the general formula (1) with at least one alkoxysilane represented by the general formula (2) through hydrolysis in the presence of a surfactant: (R<1>)mSi(OR<2>)4-m (1) R<3>Si(R<4>)n(OR<5>)3-n (2) (wherein R<1> is substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl; R<2> is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R<3> is linear or branched alkyl having 8 to 30 carbon atoms; R<4> is substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl; R<5> is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; m is an integer of 0 to 3; and n is an integer of 0 to 2). The process comprises the step of applying the composition and the step of converting the obtained coating film into a porous film.

Provided are a hair conditioner composition with an extremely low water content from which a hair conditioner composition can easily be manufactured simply by diluting with water, and a low-energy manufacturing method for the same. The hair conditioner composition contains (a) 10-90 mass% of a higher alcohol with a specific structure and/or a derivative thereof, (b) 5-35 mass% of a cationic surfactant, and (c) a polyhydric alcohol having a melting point of 70°C or less and/or polyethylene glycol. The melting point of a gel formed by (a) and (b) in the aforementioned composition is 70°C or less, the water content is 10 mass% or less, and the mol ratio of (a) with respect to (b) is 2.5 or more but less than 6.0. In addition, with the low-energy hair conditioner manufacturing method, the composition is melted at a temperature no less than the melting point of the gel and no higher than 70°C and is then diluted with water at a dilution ratio of 3-15 times by mass.
