    The present disclosure comprises antimicrobial compositions and devices comprising silver compounds that resist heat and light discoloration. In one aspect, the said compounds comprise silver and at least one s-triazine ring or moiety. In another aspect, the antimicrobial compositions are hydrogels that are effective against broad spectrum of common pathogens including MRSA and VRE and are suitable for treating human or animal wounds and burns. The methods of the present disclosure comprise treating medical and non-medical devices and articles with compositions comprising the silver compounds to impart antimicrobial property.

    The present invention comprises methods and compositions for antimicrobial devices comprising metal containing compositions which are resistant to heat and light discoloration. The metal containing compositions may comprise salts or complexes of silver, copper or zinc. In one aspect the compositions comprise silver salts. In another aspect, the compositions comprise silver complexes. In one aspect, the metal salts may comprise metal salts of saccharin, acesulfame, long chain fatty acids, and alkyl dicarboxylic acids. The compositions further comprise polymers which form salts or complexes with silver, copper or zinc. The methods of the present invention comprise treating devices with the metal containing compositions, including, but not limited to, such devices as woven wound care materials, catheters, patient care devices, and collagen matrices. The present invention further comprises treatment of humans and animals with the antimicrobial devices described herein.

    The present invention relates to solution type silver organo-sol ink for forming electrically conductive patterns. The present invention provides silver organo-sol ink of solution type for forming electrically conductive pattern comprising effective amount of silver CO to C16 aliphatic carboxylate saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched, unsubstituted or substituted with amino, nitro and/or hydroxy group(s) having 1 to 3 carboxyl groups or silver aromatic carboxylate; and organic solvent. By the present invention, silver organo-sol inks of solution type basically having higher content of silver for various reducing or metallizing temperatures are obtained. The solution type ink of the present invention can be used for forming conductive patterns in flat panel display such as plasma display panel(PDP) to reduce the numbers of steps for pattern forming. Some of the solution type ink of the present invention can be used for forming conductive patterns on a milder substrate such as thermoset plastic at a lower reducing temperature.
