    [Problem] To provide: a conductive adhesive which contains an epoxy (meth)acrylate resin and which can form a bonded zone that is not susceptible to being deteriorated by halogen; an anisotropic conductive film; and electronic devices using both. [Solution] A conductive adhesive and an anisotropic conductive film which each contain a conductive filler and a binder resin, wherein: the binder resin comprises an epoxy (meth)acrylate resin that is a product of addition reaction of (meth)acrylic acid and an epoxy compound having a sum of total chlorine atom concentration and total bromine atom concentration of 300 massppm or less, preferably 50 massppm or less; and the conductive filler is dispersed in the binder resin which comprises such an epoxy (meth)acrylate resin. The epoxy (meth)acrylate resin is preferably prepared by subjecting a starting compound (substrate) having a carbon-carbon double bond to epoxidation of the double bond with an oxidizing agent consisting of hydrogen peroxide, and then subjecting the obtained epoxy compound to addition reaction with (meth)acrylic acid.

    It is an object of the present invention to provide: a curable composition that has photocurability and provides a cured product excellent in insulating properties; and the cured product. This can be achieved by a photocurable composition that contains, as essential components, (A) a modified polyorganosiloxane compound having a photopolymerizable functional group and an SiH group, (B) a compound having a carbon-carbon double bond, and (C) a photopolymerization initiator. A thin film produced from the curable composition of the present invention has excellent insulating properties. Since the curable composition of the present invention can form a film by solution coating, it is applicable to provide thin-film insulating materials that can be formed by solution coating.

    The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of an epoxyethyl ether or glycidyl ether by catalytic oxidation of a vinyl or allyl ether using an oxidant, preferably hydrogen peroxide, and a manganese complex wherein the catalytic oxidation is performed in an aqueous reaction medium, comprising water with less than 10% by volume of cosolvents, wherein a water-soluble manganese complex is used as oxidation catalyst, characterized in that the water-soluble manganese complex is a mononuclear species of the general formula (I): [LMnX3]Y (I) or a binuclear species of the general formula (II): [LMn(µ-X)3MnL]Y2 (II) wherein Mn is a manganese; L or each L independently is a polydentate ligand, each X independently is a coordinating species and each µ-X independently is a bridging coordinating species, whereas Y is an oxidatively-stable counter ion, and wherein the epoxidation is carried out at a pH in the range of from 1.0 to 6.0. This invention also relates to epoxyethyl ethers.
