AbstractThe platinum S2O complex [(Ph3P)2Pt(S2O)] (10) was obtained by S2O transfer reactions from tetrathiolane 2‐oxide (8), tetrathiolane 2,3‐dioxide (5), and pentathiane 3‐oxide (6) to [(C2H4)Pt(PPh3)2] (4). The S2O complex 10 further reacts with 4 to give a novel binuclear platinum complex 16, which is found to be a source of several platinum SnOm complexes. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
