Prolinamide functionalized polyacrylonitrile fiber with tunable linker length and surface microenvironment as efficient catalyst for Knoevenagel condensation and related multicomponent tandem reactions
attaching amines to fiber matrix as well as the constructed hydrophobic microenvironment by linker group within the surface layers of fiber materials effectively promotes the reactions. In addition, the good swollen capacity of fiber in solvent ensure that the reaction proceed well. Fiber catalyst PANPA−2F modified by prolinamide with a C2 alkyl chain exhibited the best catalytic performance and can
New derivatives of 2-(1-amino-1-phenylmethyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,2,4-triazin-6-one were synthesised in the reactions of opticallyactive α-aminocarboxylic acid hydrazides and triethyl orthoesters in xylene. The electronic and steric effects of substituents at the α position influencing the formation of five- or six-membered products are discussed.

New chiral fluorescentsensors derived from tetraphenylethylene and proline hydrazide were synthesized and applied in the chiral recognition of various chiral compounds, including unprotected amino acids, acidic compounds, chiral amines and even neutral alcohols. These results demonstrated that the excellent enantioselective response ability to various chiral substrates could be attributed to the –NH
Hydrazides of amino acids and acylamino acids were condensed with 2-chlorobenzaldehyde or 2-chloroacetophenone. The hydrazidones obtained exhibited antihypertensive activity. In a few cases the activities were similar or higher than those of the reference compounds.
