Synthesis, spectral and single crystal structure determination of [1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino-kP,P′)propane(4-morpholinecarbodithioato-S,S′) nickel(II) perchlorate and [1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino-kP,P′)butane (4-morpholinecarbodithioato-S,S′)nickel(II) perchlorate complexes

4-dppb))ClO4 (2) [(mdtc−=4-morpholinecarbodithioato anion, 1,3-dppp=1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane, 1,4-dppb=1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane)] have been prepared from their parent dithiocarbamate. The planar complexes were characterized by electronic and IR spectra. Single crystal X-ray structures of compounds 1 and 2 were determined.
