A room‐temperature, visible‐light‐driven N‐centered iminyl radical‐mediated and redox‐neutral C−C single bond cleavage/radical addition cascade reaction of oxime esters and unsaturated systems has been accomplished. The strategy tolerates a wide range of O‐acyl oximes and unsaturated systems, such as alkenes, silyl enol ethers, alkynes, and isonitrile, enabling highly selective formation of various
A visible-light-induced radical cascade cyclization of aryl isonitriles and cyclobutanone oxime esters for the synthesis of cyclopenta[b]quinoxalines has been accomplished for the first time. The key to the success of this process was the integration of the in situ-formed nitrile radical followed by the cascade radical isonitrile/nitrile insertion-cyclization. The easy introduction of substituents

during the reaction of selenium dioxide with hydroxydiolefins has been confirmed through the synthesis and reactivity studies with selected model compounds. The isolation of 8-oxa-.Vselenabicyclo[3,2,11,5]octanes and dimeric selenium compounds has been observed with cyclohexanic and cyclopentanic derivatives.
Polycyclic derivatives incorporating a cyclopropyl group have been efficiently synthesized from propargyl acetates using platinum(II), gold(I) and gold(III) catalysis. These reactions which are also viable for the preparation of medium-sized rings, proceed with a complete diastereocontrol and can also be run in neat conditions.

An object of the present invention is to provide a novel method for detecting irradiation treatment of foods. The present invention provides a method for detecting irradiation treatment of foods comprising the steps of (A) obtaining a fraction containing one or more irradiation-generated fragments of natural high-molecular weight compound(s) from a food sample, and (B) reacting the fraction with one or more antibodies capable of recognizing the one or more fragments, thereby detecting the one or more fragments. The invention also provides a kit for detecting irradiation treatment of foods.
