  A series of aryloxy/thioaryloxy oxazolidinone derivatives has been synthesized and tested for in vitro antibacterial activity by MIC determination against a panel of susceptible and resistant Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, some of which are resistant to methicillin and vancomycin.
