  摘要：

  The synthesis of 1,4-bis-(4-n-alkylcyclohexyl) butanes (1), esters of 4-[-(4-n-alkylcyclohexyl)butyl]cyclohexanols (2) and some analogous aromatic compounds are described. The thermal stability of mesophases of these compounds are in the order of the analogous ethylene-bridged liquid crystals. The reason for this result seems to be the combination of molecular rigidity and conformational flexibility.
