  Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 is a mono-silicon-containing hydrocarbyl radical having up to 35 carbon atoms; each of R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is, independently, a hydrogen atom or lower alkyl having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; n is 0 or 1; and M is a hydrogen atom, an equivalent of a cation which forms a non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or a non-toxic pharmaceutically acceptable monovalent radical which is hydrolyzable or saponifiable to an alkali metal cation, eg sodium 4-(4,4-dimethyl-4-sila-tetradecylamino)-benzoate, are useful as pharmaceutical agents.
