Hydrocarbon bridged metal complexes, XLIV. Donor–acceptor substituted Schiff bases of polyenes with transition metals2
摘要:
Schiff bases 1-10 were obtained by condensation of L-valine and o-aminophenol with donor and ferrocenyl substituted carotinoid aldehydes. From these Schiff bases and chloro-bridged complexes [(R3P)(Cl)M(mu-Cl)](2) (M =Pd, Pt), [(eta(5)-C5Me5) (Cl)Ir(mu-Cl)](2) and [(p-cymene) (Cl)Ru(mu-Cl)](2) a series of mono and heterobimetallic compounds 11-45 was synthesized. The structures of [p-MeO-C6H4-CH=N-C6H4-O-Ru (Cl) (p-cymene)] 16, [ferrocenyl-CH=N-C6H4-O-Ir (Cl) (Cp*)] 23, [(p-Me2NC6H4-CH=CH-C(Me)=CH-CH=CH-CH=C(Me)-CH=N-C6H4-O-Pd(Cl)PEt3] 42 and of the condensation product from [(eta(6)-aniline)Cr(CO)(3)(-)] with 9-ferrocenyl-2,7-dimethylnonatetraene-1-al 46 were determined by X-ray diffraction. Optimal conditions were found for the reactions of aniline and its hydroxy-, carboxy-, methyl-, and nitro-substituted derivatives with p-dimethylaminocinnamaldehyde in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate micelles in the pH range 1–6. A correlation was revealed between the optimal pH value pK a of aromatic amines. The reaction in the model system aniline-p-dimethylaminocinnamaldehyde-sodium dodecyl sulfate in micelles formed by anionic surfactants is accelerated more than 1000-fold due to increased concentration of the reactive species in sodium dodecyl sulfate micelles.
