Comparison of 13C NMR of C = N bond chemicalshifts δC(C = N) in substituted N‐(phenyl‐ethylene)‐anilines XArC(Me) = NArY (XPEAYs) with that in substituted N‐(benzylidene)‐anilines XArCH = NArY (XBAYs) was carried out. Tolerate silicone! The stable [RuCl2(p‐cymene]2 complex is an efficient catalyst for the direct chemoselective hydrosilylation of functionalized aldimines and ketimines into amines, usingpolymethylhydroxysiloxane as an inexpensive, stable, and safe hydrosilane source. The catalysis operates in ethanol, under air at room temperature, and tolerates the ketone ester and alkene functionality.

Ruthenium(II)-acetate catalyzed C-H bond activation/diarylations of aryl-aldimines, aryl-ketimines and phenyl-oxazolines with aryl bromides in water are reported. We report the modular preparation of dihydro-1,2,5-thiodiazole dioxide heterocycles starting from methyl ketones and primary amines. This one-pot, three-component coupling employs 2,3-dimethylimidazole-1-sulfonyl azide triflate as a coupling reagent and oxidant.
