A borylative exo-cyclization of alkenyl halides has been reported. The reaction includes the regioselective addition of a borylcopper(I) intermediate to unactivated terminal alkenes, followed by the intramolecular substitution of the resulting alkylcopper(I) moiety for the halide leaving groups.
