Novel chiralporphyrin ligands were synthesized from four different chiral aldehydes. In situ transition metal complexes of these novel chiralporphyrin ligands were found to catalyze asymmetricepoxidation reaction of styrene possessing various substituents. The chiral epoxides were formed in excellent yield and ee.
