The oxidation of secondary amines with copper(II) reagent, prepared from copper(II) bromide and lithium t-butoxide, under mild reaction conditions gave the corresponding imines in high yields. Primary amines were also transformed to the corresponding nitriles.
Novel azetidinones and pharmaceutical compositions are described, as are the methods of using such compounds and compositions to treat subjects, including humans, suffering from hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia and atherosclerosis.
We have discovered a new class of cooperative catalytic system, consisting of heterogeneous polymer-immobilized bimetallic Pt/Ir alloyed nanoclusters (NCs) and 4-tert-butylcatechol, for the aerobic oxidation of amines to imines under ambient conditions.
