Further, an aqueous dispersion (X2) of resin particles (B) can be produced by a method    which comprises cleaving the resin particle (A) and resin particle (B) from each other and    removing resin particles (A), or    which comprises dissolving resin particles (A). The present invention can make it possible to obtain resin particles of uniform particle diameter.

According to another preferable embodiment of the present invention, a composition for a resin having the viscosity thereof decreased to facilitate a cast polymerization operation and thus to improve the tonality of the obtained optical material can be provided. According to still another preferable embodiment of the present invention, an optical material obtained by curing the above-described composition for a resin and having a high refractive index can be provided.

    A toner binder comprising a polyester, the end of which is partially esterified with a monocarboxylic acid and/or a monohydric alcohol, the polyhydric alcohol component of which comprises a C3 alkylene glycol (a21) and an aromatic-ring-bearing diol (a22) at an (a21)/(a22) molar ratio of 5/95 to 70/30, and which has an ester group concentration of 16 to 30wt% and satisfies a specific relationship between the ester group concentration and the hydroxy value. The toner binder combines low-temperature fixability and storage stability under high-temperature conditions or heat-temperature and -humidity conditions, and exhibits excellent durability.
