The synthesis of N‐[5‐(2‐phenoxyphenyl)‐1, 3, 4‐oxadiazole‐2‐yl]‐N′‐phenylurea derivatives is reported. The structures of these compounds are supported by their IR, 1H‐NMR and mass spectra. A series of new 2-substituted-5-[2-(2-fluorophenoxy)phenyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazoles has been synthesized and screened for their anticonvulsantactivities. Compound 3 shows considerable anticonvulsantactivity both in PTZ and MES models. It seems that this effect is mediated by benzodiazepine receptors and other unknown mechanism, respectively.
In an effort to discover new agents with good fungicidal activities against CDM (cucumber downy mildew), a series of tetrazolederivativescontaining phenyloxadiazole moieties were designed and synthesized.
