Here is reported the first example of an organocatalyzed coupling between pyrrole and isocyanates in a nanoconfined space. The hexameric resorcinarene capsule C is able to catalyze the direct coupling between isocyanates and pyrroles to give amidopyrroles with excellent yields and selectivities.
