The present invention relates to a class of compounds and to diagnostic compositions containing such compounds where the compounds are iodine containing compounds. More specifically the iodine containing compounds are chemical compounds containing an aliphatic central moiety containing amide functions allowing for the arrangement of three iodinated phenyl groups bound thereto. The invention also relates to the use of such diagnostic compositions as contrast agents in diagnostic imaging and in particular in X-ray imaging and to contrast media containing such compounds.

In an antioxidant system for crosslinked polyolefin compositions consisting of a first antioxidant such as a phenolic or amine antioxidant and a second antioxidant containing a thiodialkanoate portion,the use of athiodialkanoate polyester antioxidant which inteferes less with crosslinking than the commonly-used thiodialkanoate ester antioxidants while producing comparable or improved antioxidant protection. A modified epoxy resin composition obtainable by:
i) reacting one or more epoxy resin compound(s) with a dibasic acid, to obtain an epoxy group conversion of from 10 to 70%, and
ii) reacting the resulting dibasic ester group containing epoxy resin with a trihydric primary aliphatic alcohol having of from 5 to 12 carbon atoms, to obtain a conversion of remaining epoxy groups of from 30 to 80%.
Said modified epoxy resin compositions have high reactivity and provide cured products having a good balance of adhesion, flexibility and impact strength.
