The magnetic recording medium is made of a dispersion of a magnetic powder in a resin binder which is comprised of a first resin having at least one polar group at a rate of from 0.01 to 10 mmols/g and a glass transition point, Tg, of from -50 to 40°C and a second resin having a polar group in an amount smaller than the first resin and having a glass transition point, Tg', of higher than 40°C and not higher than 200°C.
